When you get two girls for a hand, Q-Q is among the best hands preflop in NL Texas Hold’em. You might have problems though when you go on an all out preflop raising since most likely you are against real monsters, Kings or Aces. Do not get married early with this hand since an overcard after the flop can be dangerous. Be ready to fold when you know you are beaten.

Against other hands

The statistics are very low that you will be going up against aces or kings. Be very careful though when the table is bombarded with a lot of betting before the flop. Assess and see if you need to fold. It will be a tough choice but you must do this when you are almost certain that you are up against Aces or Kings.

Be more careful when you are playing against super tight players as there is a better chance they are raising because they have a good reason to do it. Against looser poker players, there is a good chance that your pocket Queens are better.

Position

If you have a looser poker player to your right, then you can re-raise. This somehow blocks callers and limits the situation to a heads up game. Playing against three more players will make the situation difficult for you and when an Ace is on the flop, most likely someone was able to make a pair of Ace. So you need to fold.

Gavin Smith was born in the year 1968 in the city of Guelph in Ontario in Canada. The way he learned how to play poker was by playing a game of rummy and cribbage with his father at home. He started his career as a taxi driver on one of the golf courses. Then he moved on to playing poker with his pals. This was when he was twenty-six years old. He liked the game of poker so much and like most professional poker players he became a poker dealer. In the year 1998, he went on to start his own club. The first really good break that he got in the field of poker was in the year 2000. This was the time when he was able to win in the Poker Finals.

Gavin Smith was able to win in the 2000 World Poker Finals that were held at the Foxwoods Casino. The nick name that stands by him is that of a clown and that is way that he is described as well. What Gavin Smith himself had to say about the clown table image of his is that it goes on to get him the right kind of calls and people make crazy games against him. This is the image that actually helps him to be able to achieve different things. There have been times when the opponents have made the most bizarre and unusual of moves against Gavin Smith and all because of this image of his. Therefore, in a way this specific image of his has gone on to serve him really well.

The other nicknames that stick to Gavin Smith till date are Birdguts and Caveman. The time that he was first noticed as a poker player to be reckoned with is in the year 1999 in the no limit Texas hold’em and seven card stud World Poker Finals.

Then in the year 2005, he went on to win for himself a prize money of $1,128,278. This was in the World Poker Tour which was held in Las Vegas. This was won by him after defeating his opponent Ted Forrest. This was in the final confrontation between the two of them.

Gavin Smith has certainly come a long way since he first started playing poker with his father. The first time that he thought of playing poker professionally was at the age of twenty-six when he played mixed games with his colleagues.

Then in the year 1996, Gavin Smith went on to become a poker dealer which is the usual route considered for most poker aficionados. He started his own poker club in the year 1998.

The last win that came Gavin Smith’s way was in 2010 when he plays at the $2,500 Mixed Hold’em Tournament and earned for himself a prize of $268,238. The other thing that sets Gavin Smith aside from the other poker players is the tattoo that he has on his upper right shoulder of a clover leaf.

Daniel is a great example for the game of poker, is a true ambassador; and if it were up to me – he could win the WSOP Main Event every single year. Go for it Danny boy!

Online poker is not easy as it looks. Winning online poker games were so easy then most of would have quit work and played online poker to make money.

If you want to win at online poker it is very pertinent to choose a right table. There numerous rooms where you play poker online. You should choose a poker room which is popular and has people playing poker online. If the traffic of that site is good then you would have a wide variety of tables to choose from as there would be a lot of players playing on that site.

Information about the statistics of various tables is clearly visible in the lobby which would help you in choosing the right table. The seasoned poker players would use this data to their advantage. You shoul refrain from joining a table without being aware of the statistics.

Once you start playing online poker for real money you will start earning regular points which can be used in buy-in for various poker tournaments, and other promotions. Make real use of these points and do not let these points fry up in your account.

You should never pay more rake than required. Rake back poker points are essential. You must ensure that you get a section of your rake back and add it your account which should be managed in a resourceful way. You should update yourself about the various rake back policies.

You should have a good idea about the table position and how it has a deep impact on the game. You should be aware about the various styles of playing poker. It would help you make good decisions and none of the players would be able to bluff you and ensnare you.

Reading your opponents is a very important part of the game. Your game would be shaped according to that. All your concepts about the game of Poker should be crystal clear. You should be confident about all the rules before you start playing online. Still, reading online opponents is not the kind of “reading” Phil Hellmuth or Doyle Brunson are experts at — you’ll be looking at bet sizing, acting speed and so on — not physical tells!

Beginners would end up as losers because the matured poker players would see through your immature strategy and various playing methods. One of the best tips to win poker game is never to put an end to learning. You should always learn from your peers and opponents. Keep reading various articles and books on Poker to upgrade your playing style.

The two most popular games played by gamblers across the world are poker and blackjack. There are stark differences in both the games. Reading this article will make you realize some of the differences.

Blackjack is a fixed game while poker is not. The former has been devised in such a way that house would win if players engage in playing for a long time. Luck plays a great role in the game of Blackjack. Luck plays a tremendous role in winning the game. There are certain tricks and strategies which need to adopted in order to add dynamism to your playing style but luck is an important factor in blackjack.

On the other hand poker is a thought provoking game. It involves implementing various strategies in order to win the game. A winning hand is important but more than that a winning strategy is pertinent to win the pot.

Any game of poker requires luck but players should use their skills proficiently. Diverse playing skills should be implemented in order to gauge opponents and win the pot. Many notable blackjack players have made a transition and are now successful poker players. One of the shinning players who have done this is Andy Bloch.

There are numerous rules to master in the game of poker while the game of blackjack has few rules to learn. The game of poker is the best way to display your skills and dominate the poker table with your dynamic playing style. The basic rule of the game is that your card should add up to a score of 21 and below. If the score is beyond 21 then you are disqualified from the game. The winner of the game would hold a hand which is closest or is 21. The main opponent in this game is the dealer. You need to beat the dealer and score better than him in order to win the games.

The game is played with a number of variations and different rules at the tables. Blackjack is a popular game because it involves card counting, testing your luck and application of methodical thinking. According to this blackjack blog, it’s much less easy to beat than people try to make it look, though. Whereas for poker, that’s a different story alltogether…

The game of poker is played against each of the poker players present on the poker table unlike Blackjack where beating the dealer is the main motto of the game. Poker involves taking imperative decisions as per the situation of the game.

Both the games are very interesting but have diverse rules.
